CLC is effective as it addresses the issues that lie between personal and professional

I have always believed that the line between “personal” and professional is a blurry one. Our type of work is about dealings among people, so of course personal thoughts and feelings mean something for all those involved. Organisationally, this is especially true for group projects and initiatives where there is a common goal that must be met.

In my opinion, CLC is effective as it addresses the issues that lie between personal and professional; the assumptions that have kept me from feeling comfortable about really pushing an idea or even listening with both ears. This process has helped me to understand my colleagues better and be less careful about speaking my mind. The result is that I feel I am communicating and listening to my colleagues in a better way.

I initially thought this type of coaching would be invasive and too uncomfortable to do within a group setting, but the structure and curriculum doesn’t reall allow for that. In a way you tend to gain a wisdom about how to better deal with conflict and how to plan with your colleagues.</p
